Yuhai Wang
I am a Master’s student at the University of Southern California (USC), working with Prof. Daniel Seita in the SLURM Lab since September 29, 2023. Before joining USC, I was a Research Engineer at the Institute of AI Industry Research (AIR), Tsinghua University, collaborating with Prof. Guyue Zhou. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the School of Computer Science and Technology at Tiangong University (TGU), where I worked with Prof. Xuan Xiao.
I am seeking PhD opportunities for Fall 2025. I am particularly interested in the intersection of (i) robotic manipulation, (ii) object detection and 3D reconstruction, (iii) reinforcement learning, and (iv) large language models. Currently, I am leading a research on using whole-body control (WBC) to enable a quadruped robot to maintain balance while reaching a target position in highly dynamic environments.
